As 2012 comes to a close, it’s time to reflect on the year in comics. Comic Book Resources has put together their list of the Top 100 Comics of 2012 including New Crusaders. Applauding the title’s successful relaunch, and praising it “one of the most enjoyable and surprising superhero comics on the stands,” New Crusaders took a classic concept and put a new spin on it this year, creating a new crop of contemporary superheroes with a legacy to honor.

With the first arc, Rise of the Heroes, coming to a close, stay tuned for more news on the next big story coming in 2013 from Red Circle Comics – New Crusaders: Dark Tomorrow!

Still finishing up your holiday shopping? If not, here's one more item to add to the list. USA Today released its Annual Holiday Gift Guide on Friday and listed The Art of Betty and Veronica as one of the Top Graphic Novels of 2012. It's no surprise as Archie's first art book was put together with loving care by two of the industry's most respected veterans, Archie Comics Editor-in-Chief/Co-President Victor Gorelick and Eisner Award Winning comic book historian Craig Yoe. Expect this book to pop up on more best of lists before long.

 Anticipation for the Crossover Event of 2013 continues to mount as IGN debuted a the gatefold cover to Part Four of Sonic/Mega Man: Worlds Collide. The issue is special in that Mega Man hits its 25th issue and so to celebrate, a gatefold cover is utilized to show off the Capcom and SEGA characters squaring off in an epic battle featuring glorious renderings by Patrick "Spaz" Spaziante.
