Writer Paul Kupperberg took some time out to speak with Topless Robot about one of the most buzzed about ongoing series "Life With Archie". Kupperberg took over writing duties for the magazine after original series writer Michael Uslan departed, who wrote the Archie Marries storyline which the series spun off from. Unlike any other Archie series before it, Life With Archie focuses on the gang post-high school into their early adult lives, tackling more mature issues yet still manages to have the Archie stamp on it. With 70 years worth of continuity to draw from there is plenty of history to be utilized in this unique entry in the Archie canon. Even more high concept is the inclusion of both possible futures of the ultimate "what if" in Archie Comics: Betty or Veronica. Featuring parallel universes in which the reader can explore both possible outcomes to which bride Archie will ultimately choose, the entirety of the Archie universe is open to be re-imagined in this title.

After conquering the music world at large, the band will now take on zombies upon their arrival to Riverdale and not even their extreme marketability will be enough to stop them alone. That's where The Archies and Sabrina the Teenage Witch come in.

When propositioned by Gene Simmons about the idea of doing an Archie/KISS crossover, Archie Comics Co-CEO Jon Goldwater "thought he was kidding." But it's no joke, as anyone who saw the Archie Meets Kiss trailer at the NYCC Archie panel will tell you. With KISS stamping their brand on so many products, it seems almost inevitable that a meeting with Archie would take place. This is however no ordinary crossover and with a little magic from Sabrina sprinkled in, expect anything to happen. ... |
