Sonic has a long history with Archie Comics which means now is the perfect time to mine all those great stories that have led up to the Sonic universe that we now know and love! IGN spoke with Sonic editor Paul Kaminski on what the latest Sonic graphic novel release have to offer fans with Sonic Saga Series 1 and Sonic Legacy Vol. 2. Kaminski explained that the Sonic Saga Series will continue the trend of reprinting the more contemporary Sonic stories while Sonic Legacy will continue to pull from the earliest Sonic stories Archie ever printed, dating back to 1993.

It really is the best time to be a Sonic fan in terms of what’s currently being produced from the creative mind of Sonic scribe Ian Flynn plus the array of talented artists that have contributed to the refined look of Sonic’s world including Patrick “SPAZ” Spaziante, Tracy Yardley!, Ben Bates, Jamal Peppers, Steven Butler and more! Kaminski also highlights the upcoming Best of Sonic and the Sonic Comic Encyclopedia which will be the perfect tools to not only showcase the most engaging stories Sonic has to offer but an all-encompassing history of Sonic’s adventures in print.

As IGN has previously stated, “Archie has been instrumental in keeping the video game legends of our childhood alive” and with the continued support of fervent fans who continue to read about their favorite blue hedgehog, Archie Comics is more than happy to provide!
