I have your first issue and read it...I ENJOYED IT!!! Your comic book is written by one of my favorite writers, IAN FLYNN and illustrated by one of my favorite artists SPAZ! How cool is that?

Positively frigid. Ideas, Marco! Give me ideas!

*huff* *huff* Blast it, Noah, you almost got me caught last week... Well, the heat ray didn't work last month. So now I, the brilliant Dr. Wily, but return to your mail for more ideas. This is a rather short one from Hudson G. of Stockbridge, GA.

That's a rather sinister-looking Mega Man. What if...what if I were to reprogram him myself? Make him the quintessential part of my robot army? I'd have to catch him off-guard though. Perhaps...I could travel to the future! He'd never suspect me th- - no, this is a stupid idea. It'll never work.

Anyway I happen to have Mega Man toys such as Mega Man, Proto Man, Elec Man, Shadow Man, and Guts man! Plus I have "Mega Man 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10" and "Mega M X 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6!"

You got a thing for robots too, huh? Kids these days. Back when I joined the force, you trusted in your fellow man! None of this shiny, tin-plated...

Dear Ian and Spaz,

Great. First day and I'm already stealin' other peoples' mail. That'll look good durin' review...

Don't you think that in Mega Man #1 Dr. Wily is really stupid? He makes great plans and ruins it by telling it to everyone on the TV.

Lemme tell ya, Marty, these psychopaths is all the same. They think they're big shots, see, and so they wants everyone to think so too. Was it stupid? Sure. Did it make our jobs easier? ...well, no, we couldn't do a thing to them robots. But if they weren't robots, it woulda been a cake walk for us.

I have a Mega Man videogame and when all the Robot Masters attack, Dr. Wily blames it on Dr. Light. Thank you, Marty M.

Yeah, I dunno about them two. Lab coats, thing for robots...funny hair. They're in cahoots, I tells ya. Anyway, yer welcome.

Hey there, Mega-fans! Cut Man here, and I gotta say, it's 'slice' to meet you. Let's cut to the quick and get to this letter from Jonathan S. of Spokane, WA.

Dear Archie, I think the Mega Man series is gonna be awesome! I laughed a lot when I read the Short Circuit! Also, have some questions:

Ooh! Ooh! Was it the comic with me in it? That was the funniest, right? I always said I was cut out to be a comedian.

#1. Is Proto Man going to be in the comics?

He sure is! Not for a bit, though. Y'know how he is - gotta make his dramatic entrance.

#2. Is Mega Man going to face the Mecha Dragon?

Well it wouldn't be a proper Wily Castle without the Mecha Dragon, now would it?

#3. Is Rockman going to go through rooms where the walls are alive?

You mean those weird gooey rooms from Gemini Man's stage? Yeah, Mega Man will have to deal with those.

Dear Mega-Mail, I LOVED Issue 1!

I'm so very happy to hear that!

I first saw Mega Man in a magazine that did Mega Man 10 the video game. But when I heard about the comic series, I impatiently waited for the epic first issue. When I got it, I LOVE IT (as stated previously)!!!!

Hahaha, so you did.

I am now your #1 fan officially. I know the series is just starting, but I don't want anyone else to claim their "fandom" before I do!

Now-now, no need to get too competitive. Rock appreciates each and everyone one of you. Besides, I believe Auto already claimed the number one spot.

Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Dr. Thomas Light, and today I'll be answering a letter from Christopher M. of Abilene, TX.

Dear Mega-Mail: I subscribed to the Mega Man comic series and got my 1st issue the other day. I wanted to say what an excellent job you all did on it.

Thank you very much, Christopher!

It reminds me a lot of the games I played back then. The story and art are fantastic. Is it possible that in the future you all will be doing a "Mega Man X" series too?

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves, Christopher. We haven't even gotten through Mega Man's second adventure! But if the comic proves to be a success, there might be a chance of a "Mega Man X" title. We'll just have to wait and see.

Mega Mail! With Dr. Wily (2/2)

I, the brilliant Dr. Wily, will discover Mega Man's weak point by analyzing his fan mail! This letter is from Angela C. of Spokane, WA and...is covered in flowers and butterflies. This doesn't bode well. Or perhaps it's an elaborate ruse?!

Dear Mega-Staff, Firstly, congratulations on taking up this challenge. Mega Man/Rockman is something that I believe is tricky to get 'right.' We've seen some failures of 'westernized' version of Mega Man before so please treat him well.

"Treat him well"....well done...like a steak...YES! I must build a giant heat ray cannon!

I just finished issue no. 1 and I am glad that you followed the story. I also loved how you gave Neige from Mega Man Zero 4 a cameo. I always wanted to see her active in her profession, it was a real treat.

"A real treat"....trick-or-treat...I must trick him into standing before the heat ray!

Roll looks adorable, I love the city-scapes, and I think you got Dr. Light's relationship with his babies right on!

Bah!

The only issue I have concerns Rock.

Do tell!

I consider myself to be rather fond of the Mega Man world as I have spent my - entire - life with it. So I felt a little sad that Rock in this version had blue eyes and brown hair instead of green eyes and black hair. He was so unfamiliar to me that at first I didn't know how he was!

Ah, blame Thomas's shortcomings. If it were up to me, things would've been done right!

I know it's way too late to change the color for this year's issues, but could you consider a change in the future?

Of course! I'll simply pull up these images online for reference and...that's a lot of blue eyes. And there's some brown hair. Hmm.
