On April 1st 2009 Betty & Veronica were honored at the Riviera Resort in Palm Springs, California. A special event took place in the Starlite Lounge to celebrating the launch of Betty & Veronica Digest #193 featuring Betty & Veronica in Palm Springs. The special event at the Riviera, was organized in conjunction with the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism, and attended by Victor Gorelick, Editor-in-Chief of Archie Comics, and long time writer and pop culture historian, Hal Lifson, who wrote the script for the story. Ron Dante, original lead singer of 'The Archies', gave a special performance. ÂÂÂ
