We interrupt our regularly scheduled and oh-so-interesting back-to-school shopping post for this report: (I just wanted to type that :-) )
So, I was walking thru the mall yesterday with Bets and right there – in the front of the bookstore – was a poster of The Faux Duo on the cover of B&V Double Digest #154: Bad Boy Trouble Part 4. The last part of their story hits stores this week! Do you know what this means? Betty and I get our Digest covers back! Yippee!!!
So Bets and I started talking: Do you remember how upset we were last Christmas when we found out The Faux Duo was coming to Riverdale? That seems like YEARS ago! The past few months have been tough – Bets and I were upset A LOT.
Then Bets reminded me that something GOOD did happen because of The Faux Duo. I thought she was kidding, but she said, “No, really!†You know what it was? We started our blogs and we met YOU!
So, I’m curious… now that it’s almost behind us, what do you think of The Faux Duo?
Gotta go. Bets and I are going SHOPPING again! (I’m wearing flat shoes today – NOT heels. Yesterday, I could hardly keep up with her! LOL)

Well, Ronnie, I don't really, er, care about the Faux Duo. I don't really care about them because I know that they will never replace YOU two girls. :) I still enjoyed reading the comics although you guys were "changed" a lot. It's an Archie comic, I got to buy it. :) But---- the "realistic" gang don't look as good as the original "Archie and the Gang!" You two and the rest of the gang (Sheesh, especially Jug...) didn't need this "Extreme Makeover!" ;)

i actually still haven't read the faux duo comics...i've been meaning to but i never have. either way, gosh I can't believe it's been so many months since you started your blogs!! that's awesome! i'm glad you guys started them too! :)
I loved the new realistic style! It's awesome! I was always curious to see whaat they looked like in real life and now I got to find out! So,I LOVE the Faux Duo!

I feel kind of bad... It makes me feel bad with some of the negative comments on here towards the "new-look"...but Steven Butler tried hard to draw them in the "new-way," so I believe that we should also congratulate him. We lose some story contests, but we always come around to congratulate the winners. So, I want to congratulate, Steven, myself, and I believe that we all should do that too. :) Because he deserves a great big cheer. :)

Okay, I may not like the Faux gang, but the "Bad Boy" story is pretty good. I'm so glad that you and Betty are hitting the digests again soon!!!
One question: now that we know the faux duo will be gone soon and you won't be upset anymore, are you and Betty going to move back to the Archie Comics website? Just curious.

I thought haute was pronounced more like oote, maybe aut couture. And, I think couture is pronounced cooture. Whatever, anyway, I may b wrong. Yeah, ballet flats r still in, and they rock. Big heels look wierd if u're not a grown-up sometimes so the ballet flats fashion is gr8 4 younger ppl and there's nothing wrong if an adult wears them 2.- Amal*F

It's good to hear happy news again. For example, all this back to school stuff you and the gang are going through sounds fun! I mean shopping! :D LOL!
When I first came to these blogs, it was somewhere early in this year and before the weekly story contests and I love it! I also noticed more people were beginning to post their comments. That is awesome too! I just didn't know that the talk about faux duo had begun last year. LOL, I thought it was new news when I found out somewhere in this website.
Thanks for keeping such positive and good examples for all of us. It's so much fun and wonderful to read your blogs and comics.
As for my comment about what I think about the Faux Duo? Yaaay, they are leaving!!! Party time!!! LOL! We love the originals, our Betty and Veronica.

Wow... I'm really ashamed of myself...;) Just kidding. I've been reading Archie comics since I was 6 and I only have, like 13. But, like Pureheart the Powerful said, it's quality not quanity. And I've read some of my Archies so many times, that most of them fell apart!:o And my mom has hid alot of them. .

I agree with Pureheart. I still don't like the makeover BUT Steven Butler did do a really good job, i just don't think its meant for Betty and Veronica. But He is a great artist and should continue his work somewhere else if this doesn't continue! I Love you and Betty the way you are and nothing can change that!
I still think it is one of the worst, excuse me, THE WORST thing archie headquarters ever did! IT WAS POINTLESS and UGLY!!!!!

Steven Butler did a great job! great job it was really pretty and i liked it but im just ust and stuck and love with the originals but i love the way the other look "looks" but i would keep it the old way and wow pureheart you no some much about the people who draw these!

Yeah, I think Steven did a good job, too, and he should definitely continue his artist career. He's a good artist, but let's face it, his drawings just don't appeal to the Archie comics. The original style has been going on successfully for over 6 decades, and it suits Archie comics great. There's no point in changing it now. Of course, it's always good to try new things! That's how wonderful tools and medicine were invented. Great job, Steven!
i thought it was really really good and that b&v looked cool,but i guess i'm more used to the old one even if i like the new one....... i wanted to see what the looked like real and it is cool!!!!!! id like to see more of the realistic ones!!!
