I usually don’t talk about my own comic, but this one wasSO much fun to do, I thought I’d mention it. One day last spring we were all sitting around the office with the AC writers and artists – having one of our “creative sessions†– and someone had the idea to spoof High School Musical.
So, we did! I worked on this one all summer with the AC staff. The story is in MY book, VERONICA #185. It’s called, “Riverdale High – The Musical!â€ÂI think it’ll start appearing in specialty comic shops this week, and on newsstands the first week in December.
I LOVE HSM, and this story was so much fun to do! I hope you like it.

I'll take "Riverdale High -The Musical" as an exception. :) I always wanted to see a musical about Archie and the Gang. Apparently, they are making another Archie Movie (You and Betty and the stars). And I can't wait to see it when it does come out! But I'm just hoping that they'll also make the "Archie Musical." ;)

Listen, I wasn't exactly that big a fan of High School Musical when it came out. I know, I know sounds weird. I liked the musical part of it (I love old musicals!) but I just didn't like the acting. But like Pureheart said, "I will make an exception for Archie and the gang." :D

Ya know I never told you this well when it first came out there were two sides of my friends 1 told me 2 watch it the other told me no i went on their side with all the things they had i hated it!But i watched it it became my fav movie!

cristian give the movie a break!!! gabriella is one of the best singers I have heard and will go very far - Zac will do great in Footloose. and ron - i think you would be sharpay and betty gabrialla because sharpay is a spoiled brat and betty is sweet and not spoiled like betty.

I like Hsm but once it first started it played over and over! Now they have purses, shirts, mp3s, posters and ect! My friend won't quit singing "Fabulous"!

and well it didnt do good..it was on TV..well it was a movie..but it didnt make it to theater..i think wikipedia said because of it not being such a good movie..
i looked up "Archie comics" on wikipedia..went to were it said archie andrews..then you scroll down to were it says "riverdale and back again"..

um, hate to break it to u, Cinnamon Apple, but Vanessa Hudgens is a BAD PERSON! UGGGHHHH!!!!!!! Besides, she IS a terrible actress. BUT ASHLEY TISDALE! now SHE is a different story entirely. except she has a totally dumb album called "he said, she said". It goes like "da da da da da da HE SAID SHE SAID"!!!!!! it is so retarded. But she IS a great actress!

HSM is not dumb, and if you thik about it, zozo101, it's really nice, and Vanessa Anne Hudgens is not stupid, she has a very nice talent and if you listen, Ashley's singing in the High School Musical 1 is a fake, when she adutioned it was a fake, they had someone play the song and she and Lucas just mouthed all the words.
And I think that even if it's real, it sucks. She has trouble in dancing and letting Lucas lead the dance, i saw it on YouTube under the making of High School Musical, and she was scolded lots by Kenny.
To christin: Vanessa is a geart actress, she and Zac are great together, and Vanessa is way better than that Ash;ey Tisdale person, she can't really sing or act!

yes i know both lucas an ashley lip sing on set but they have to! when u dance you cant sing! ask any purfisional, your voice doesnt sound as good if you do! so that is why they lip sing, they have no choice
None of the people in Riverdale High can compete with East High's kids, and you can nevr be as good as them because none of you can sing or dance. ( only betty) And if you think that High School Musical is taking your place in popularity, then I'm happy, Archie Comics is just a site that you can read comics, and High School Musical can help others find their talent, like dancing or singing. I found that Vanessa is a great example for my sister and me, we both love to sing and dance, but Vanessa has been a light when we aresad and we think of her songs and we start to get happy, can't you understand that no comic or show will be as good as High School Musical? Not even Hairspray even if Zac acted in it!
They are other talents in this world than singing and dancing.Dilton for instance is an excellent scientist.Reggie great at sports.Juhead has so many wonderul talents, too many too list. For intansce Jughead can play five instruments at the same time.Archie comics isn't just site.Their story contest gives fans the chance to be published.I woulnd't have survied elementry school if I did't have the good old Archie gang to go back too at home.Archie comics have been a sucessful franchise for Sevral decdades now.Hunderds of talented writers,artists and other taltented folks a have worked to gives us montly comics.Archie comics isn't spoofing High school musical becuase it thinks it's becoming more popular than it.There spoofing High School musical because it is popular and they like to spoof other popluar stuff.Just becuase you really like Highschool muscial deosn't make everything else that isn't it is inferor, how about you understand that.Also if you were a real Archie comic fan you would know these guy spoof with respect.Don't get me wrong I love the East High Students as much as the next person but they are not better than Riverdale.

oh just so those who were talking about this..its to hard to get EVERYTHING perfect for the movie..so when they are doing a singing/dancing scene..they lip snych when they do the dances...then in the recording studio the sing the song till they get it as perfect as there going to get..then the song profecionals match it up to the lips and make it look perfect =D
i no some of you dont like to belive that..that they are just so talented and they can do both..they could..but they would get off beat..or somone else would..miss a lyric..or move..and its easier doing that..
yeah i also found that out..like a while ago..i say when i was 8 or 9 (13 now for those who dont no)
and like i always wondered if they did it both at the same time..so i asked my mom and she said they do it at different times..
and then one time for this musical i seen a extra scene on TV saying how that made it..=D

Yeah ashley and lucas lip sycned but everyone else did 2! Because they had all these big dance steps and if they were singing of course they would mess up! they got recorded at a studio then lipped it so it would be easier 4 everyone!
