Hey, gang, Jughead here! It’s my favorite time of the year, all those tasty holiday goodies!! So many awesome things to eat, and so little time! Speaking of which, here is a cool holiday recipe from my friend, Ryan B of Atlanta, GA. Ryan says, “Jughead, here is a tasty recipe my Mom and I whip up every Christmas, we call it ‘Marshmallow Holly Treats.’ Check it out, I think you’ll like it, too.”
What you’ll need:
Adult Supervision
Quarter cup margarine
40 large marshmallows
6 cups corn flakes
Green food coloring
‘Red Hots’ candies (Holly Berries)
What to do:
With adult supervision and assistance melt the margarine in a large saucepan over low heat.
-
Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted, then remove from heat.
-
Add the 6 cups of corn flakes cereal and green food coloring. Stir until well coated and green!
-
Separate the mixture into tablespoon-size servings on wax paper and top each with Red Hots, to give it a holly berry look.
Optional Idea: Instead of separating the mixture into separate pieces you can form into a holiday wreath shape and then decorate with the Red Hots!
Thanks, Ryan! That’s certainly is an awesome holiday recipe and could become a tradition for many other families out there. How about you working the mouse, do you have a tasty recipe to share? If so, drop me an e-mail and be sure to put ‘Jughead’s Recipes’ in the subject line. Happy Holidays!
Chow!
