The fans have spoken and the nominees have been determined in the 24th Annual Comics Buyer's Guide Fan Awards. This was the first year in which the Comics Buyer's Guide asked the fans to nominate their favorites of 2005 and they nominated Archie Comics, the nations leader in all ages comic, as Favorite Comic-Book Publishing Company.

Archie Comics is excited to accept this nomination is especially happy to be nominated by the readers of the Comics Buyer's Guide, the world's longest running magazine about comics.

Archie is celebrating his 65th anniversary this year, and we are proud that the fans have continued to support and appreciate our all ages humor over the years.

What makes this nomination especially exciting for us is that the nomination is based on votes from comic fans at large. Over the years our fan base has grown and Archie Comics has grown with them. In addition to Archie and the Riverdale Gang, Archie Comics includes Action Comics like Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sonic X, Manga Comics such as Sabrina as well as Josie & the Pussycats, and Fashion Comics like the Betty & Veronica Spectacular and Katy Keene.

The Archie Comics line of comic books is one of the most successful, longest running lines in the history of the comic industry. Compared to other comic publishers whose audiences are primarily male, the comics of Archie Comics are read and enjoyed by males and females alike. Archie Comics are favorite reading of young people and young at heart adults. They are also published in nearly a dozen different foreign languages and distributed all over the world.
